Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) students now have the option to enhance their credentials with one of three graduate business programs from Saint Joseph's University. These programs are designed to teach students to think strategically as healthcare policies and regulations, patient expectations and compliance considerations continue to evolve.

Courses are offered completely online in order to allow students to earn their degree with minimal interruption to their personal and professional lives. Courses begin on the first day of each month and end on the last day unless notice is given otherwise. Each week of the course consists of required readings, a “live“ virtual session and online discussions. Final assignments may be quantitative or written depending on the nature of the course.

PCOM School of Pharmacy students may choose from certificate options or pursue a PharmD MBA.

Students complete six courses (12 credits) covering fundamental business areas including:

  • Leadership and development
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Data analytics

An emphasis on real-world application will equip students for success in a variety of career paths.

Pharmacy students may earn their PharmD MBA (Master of Business Administration) by completing 20 accelerated, 2-credit courses (40 credits). All courses, except for the Capstone (which must be completed in person as a 2.5-day residency course), are delivered completely online. PCOM students and alumni will receive a waiver for two credits and three courses for transfer credit from PCOM.
