Chief Legal Affairs and Compliance Officer
Danielle McNichol, JD, is a seasoned legal executive and entrepreneur with over 25
years of experience in law, higher education and healthcare. She joined Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) as Chief Legal Affairs and Compliance Officer, effective January 6, 2025.
In her new role at PCOM, McNichol oversees all legal and compliance activities, including
supervising the internal audit function, ensuring Title IX compliance, and managing contracts and agreements. As a member of PCOM's Cabinet, she reports directly to President and CEO Jay S. Feldstein, DO '81.
McNichol's professional journey includes founding and operating McNichol Law Offices
since 1997, where she has served as legal counsel to various organizations. Her expertise
extends to Title IX matters through a subsidiary of her law office.
From 2016 to 2020, McNichol held the position of general counsel and executive director
of the Center for Leadership at Neumann University. During her tenure, she established
the impactful Wardrobes for Work program, which repurposed more than 250,000 clothing
items to assist students and community members with professional attire to be used
for interviews, internships, or jobs.
Prior to her role at Neumann University, McNichol served as general counsel and director
of human resources for the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, overseeing the
organization of the World Meeting of Families Congress and papal visit in 2015.
McNichol's diverse career also includes positions with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
Temple University Health System, and the Delaware River Port Authority. She has served
as general counsel for Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and is actively involved in various
community and non-profit boards.
A graduate of Dickinson Law, McNichol holds a JD degree and a bachelor's degree from
Susquehanna University. She brings a collaborative, inclusive and solutions-oriented
approach to her work, leveraging her extensive experience in legal and leadership
roles.
Personally, McNichol is married to John, who serves as president and CEO of the Pennsylvania
Convention Center. She has a daughter, Samantha, two stepsons, John and Matt, and
two young grandchildren, Gabriella and Johnny.
