PCOM Georgia Celebrates Community at Jolly Holly Day
December 16, 2024
On Friday, December 6, PCOM Georgia's Pediatrics Club and HEARTS Club participated in Suwanee's annual Jolly Holly Day
at the Town Center. This marks the fourth year the College has taken part in the event,
which holds historical significance as the first community engagement event for PCOM Georgia.
PCOM Georgia students hosted interactive booths, offering activities like card-making
for patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, reindeer crafts, a bone-in-sand
anatomy demonstration, free blood pressure screenings and health education. Children
also enjoyed decorating stethoscopes and exploring the Simbulance, an ambulance that has been converted into a mobile medical simulation lab.
“This event is a great way to connect with the community while sharing valuable health
education,” shared Kim Lucier, director of campus operations.
PCOM Georgia's ongoing involvement in Jolly Holly Day highlights its commitment to serving the Suwanee community through education, outreach, and a little holiday
cheer.
