John Khan, PCOM Georgia's facilities director since 2017, has been promoted to Chief of Campus Operations in Suwanee.

Khan's connection to PCOM Georgia began in 2008, when he served as a contracted facilities maintenance supervisor. Three years later, he took that role full time and then worked his way up to assistant facilities director and facilities director.

“With over 15 years of experience in operational leadership, project management, and facilities oversight, John is well suited to continue PCOM Georgia's commitment to enhancing the campus experience for students, faculty, and staff,” said Dallas A. Grundy, vice president of finance and administration at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Khan has already played pivotal roles in maintaining and improving campus infrastructure, including supervision of dining services, maintenance staff, and vendors, as well as managing inventory for maintenance, repair, and operations supplies. He has also collaborated with the Public Safety and Environmental and Occupational Safety teams to implement preventive maintenance procedures. He oversees inspections, manages building system repairs, and coordinates access control for facilities. Additionally, he served as interim director of public safety for a brief period in 2023.

His key accomplishments include assisting in the acquisition of the Northlake building and bringing to life physical spaces to support Pharmacy, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy and, most recently, Medical Laboratory Science. He also co-managed the construction of PCOM South Georgia in Moultrie.

“I was drawn to PCOM Georgia because of the institution's commitment to excellence in education and the student experience,” Khan said. “I'm confident that my background, skills, and professional relationships with key stakeholders across all three campuses align well with the College's goals, and I'm excited to contribute to PCOM Georgia in this new role.”

Khan's career in facilities management began in New York City at Value Line Publishing. His early experience at an aluminum ore laboratory in Guyana, South America, provided him with a foundation in operational processes and quality control.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his wife in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
