April 9, 2025
PCOM MAPP grad (‘23) Katelyn Dory, Senior Manager of Organizational Culture at SiriusXM, has been named a 2024 Business
Elite “Under 30” Honoree. The Business Elite Awards celebrate the leadership and achievements
of successful business people worldwide.
In the honoree announcement, Dory was recognized as a dynamic and innovative leader
with a passion for driving transformative change in employee engagement and organizational
culture. In her roles at Wayfair, Paramount, and currently SiriusXM, her innovative
programs have led to improvements in employee satisfaction, retention, and overall
well-being.
With a master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from PCOM, Dory relies on data-driven decisions and her positive psychology knowledge
to strengthen workplace well-being. She has developed recognition programs, shaped
employee initiatives, and reduced operational costs while increasing employee morale.
One aspect of her work has involved identifying meaningful moments for employees.
Work meaningfulness predicts job satisfaction and contributes to reduced turnover intentions.
“We are so excited to see Katelyn receive this well-deserved honor,” said Dr. Scott Glassman, director of the Master of Applied Positive Psychology Program at PCOM. “She is a
true catalyst of positive organizational change and will no doubt continue having
a transformative impact in the years to come.”
Glassman added that Katelyn’s success is evidence of the leadership skills and positive
psychology competencies that MAPP builds, which include training in group dynamics,
program evaluation, motivational interviewing, and multi-component positive psychology
interventions that support organizational well-being.
Dory is also recognized by the Business Elite Awards as having built inclusive cultures
aligned with organizational values. She has organized over 25 company-wide volunteering
events, which serve to strengthen unity, purpose, and corporate social responsibility
among employees. She also volunteers at Animal Haven, a nonprofit organization in
NYC focused on improving the lives of homeless pets.
Currently, Dory's work focuses on empowering employees globally to cultivate resilience,
expand their creativity, embrace authenticity, and discover their strengths. Her efforts
are essential in enabling them to thrive both personally and professionally, which
translates to happier work environments.
