The pre-professional medical laboratory science program is designed for students who
hold a bachelor's degree in a biologic or chemical science with appropriate prerequisite
coursework.
Students will complete 70 hours of coursework including medical microbiology, laboratory
management, advanced hematology, advanced chemistry, research methods and more. Visit

Students will also be required to attend monthly in-person laboratory practice of
concepts relating to the subject matter studied for pre-training prior to clinical
internships. A campus practical exam is required as part of the final grade.
Additionally, students will complete five clinical rotations (one in each major discipline)
for a total of 160 onsite hours of internship in each area. Students will be eligible
to sit for the ASCP certification exam upon successful completion of the program.
