Visiting Resident Rotations
Visiting residents wishing to spend elective time at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine must meet certain rotation requirements and follow the specified application
procedure.
Visiting Resident Rotation Requirements
All visiting residents:
- Must have completed PGY-1 year.
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania training license.
Application Procedure
Visiting Residents wishing to spend elective time at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine should submit the visiting resident application form at least three months
prior to the start of the rotation directly to the department (see contact information
below) in which the training will take place. Approval is at the discretion of the
program director.
VISITING RESIDENT APPLICATION FORM (PDF)
Once the rotation has been approved by the program director, a letter of good standing
from your residency's program director must be submitted to the department to which
you are applying. The letter must include a statement that your salary, benefits and
malpractice will be covered in full during your rotation at Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine.
You must also submit the following documentation along with the good standing letter:
- Immunizations (Measles, Rubella, Chickenpox, Hepatitis B, TB Surveillance)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Copy of medical school diploma
- Copy of Pennsylvania training license
- Proof of criminal background check
- Documentation of completed HIPAA training
- Program Letter of Agreement (PLA)
