NICOL JOSEPH, DO, CMD

Medical Director of Comprehensive Care Center

Dr. Joseph is a professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in the Department of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine. She is also program director of the PCOM Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program, an ACGME accredited program.

Board certified in family medicine with added qualifications in geriatrics, hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Joseph is a certified hospice medical director and a certified medical director through the American Medical Directors Association.

In addition, she serves as a medical director for the VNA Hospice of Philadelphia, maintains a clinical practice in PCOM’s Specialty Care clinic on City Avenue and provides long term care to residents at four Philadelphia nursing homes.

Dr. Joseph is passionate about educating new geriatric leaders in a world of widespread shortage.

Education

Dr. Joseph completed her graduate medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) in Stratford, NJ, where she was recipient of the National Medical Fellowship Award. She completed her Family Practice Residency at UMDNJ-SOM Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ.
