KAREN GIDDENS, MLS(ASCP)
Program Director
Assistant Professor
As a practicing medical laboratory scientist for over twenty years, it is my goal
to provide students the education that is required to both pass the certification
exam, and practice within the profession. During the MS in Medical Laboratory Science program, students will be encouraged to join professional societies, promote health and wellness
among peers and community members, and contribute to the profession by upholding values
and standards within the medical community.
My commitment to the college, students, and profession involves active engagement
in both the curriculum, teaching, and collaborative involvement with medical laboratory
community to foster relationships that will enhance the program, offer quality internship
opportunities, and produce quality, medical laboratory scientists for the future of
the profession.
