JOLENE BOHENSKY, MS, PA-C
Director of Outcomes, Assessment and Technology
Associate Professor

Jolene Bohensky, MS, PA-C joined the Physician Assistant (PA) Studies program in November of 2017. Bohensky, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Scranton and a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from Thomas Jefferson University. She spent eight years conducting research for the departments of medicine and orthopedics at Jefferson University Hospital. Her research focused on the molecular mechanisms of chondrocyte survival in the growth plate.

During her tenure at Jefferson, her research led to several first author publications. She then wanted to bridge her scientific background to clinical medicine, which led her to pursue a master of science degree in physician assistant studies. Her background includes experience in family medicine, urology and student health. Aside from practicing clinically, she served as a guest lecturer and preceptor to physician assistant students.

Bohensky is a graduate of the PCOM Physician Assistant Studies program, class of 2012. She is a nationally board certified physician assistant and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania. She currently maintains her clinical practice in family medicine.
