Julie Huss is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic from Minnesota. She fell in love with
the study of human anatomy in graduate school, and has a background of overseeing
all the anatomy labs and managing a body donation program in Minnesota. She has worked
in cadaver labs with surgical skills training, emergency medicine and other resident
skills training, medical and biomedical research projects, and providing and preparing
anatomical material for various anatomy courses and research projects. Her most interesting
past projects have included neuroscience surgical preparations, spinal cord procurements,
and assisting with several vascular studies. She enjoys leadership roles and has taken
several courses on leading teams. She appreciates tidiness and organization in her
workspaces.
Dr. Julie values and appreciates the holistic approach to medicine that PCOM upholds.
She was first drawn to medicine at a young age, but ultimately decided to pursue a
more alternative style of medicine. She is licensed to practice acupuncture, and has
studied some eastern medicine. She enjoys learning about other alternative therapies.
Dr. Julie loves spending time with her husband and their 6 kids, ages 2 to 18. They
enjoy swimming, riding bikes, playing outside, exploring/hiking, traveling, and cooking.
She loves animals, and lived on a 10 acre hobby farm in Minnesota before moving to
Pennsylvania. Her family has owned horses, sheep, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, and
rabbits. In her spare time, Dr. Julie even performs chiropractic for animals. She
is a voracious reader and enjoys being active in her local church.
