Chief Marketing and Communications Officer
Wendy W. Romano serves as chief marketing and communications officer at Philadelphia
College of Osteopathic Medicine, engaging with the president and members of executive
leadership to develop long-term strategic communications, marketing goals and priorities
that support the College's mission and increase institutional brand reach, presence and perception. In her role, she is responsible for directing all
aspects of marketing, advertising, public relations, media relations, communications,
content strategy, digital and social media, website development and graphic and digital
design.
Romano oversees a creative and collaborative team that spans three campus locations
and two states. The team acts as the guardian of the College's brand culture, values
and beliefs and works tirelessly to ensure these ideals are visible and consistent
across internal and external markets.
Romano along with her team have been recognized for their work by local, regional and national professional organizations including Higher Education Marketing Report, the Public Relations Society of America, the Philadelphia Public Relations Association,
the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the American Association of
Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, the University & College Designers Association,
and College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals, among others.
