About the White Coat Ceremony
The White Coat Ceremony symbolizes the responsibility each health physician assistant
has to provide care and compassion for their patients. The ceremony places emphasis
on the importance of humanism in health care as well as the duty to perform with honesty
and dedication. The Pledge of Professionalism entrusts healthcare workers to provide
compassionate and effective medical care to patients, contribute to the community
and routinely seek new knowledge. The Pledge identifies the health, safety and dignity
of all human beings as a physician assistant's primary responsibility. Learn more
