PCOM Healthcare Center - City Avenue Division

PCOM Healthcare Center - City Avenue Division is one of five PCOM Healthcare Centers serving the needs of the medically underserved in urban areas of Philadelphia and rural Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. The centers also provide clinical training opportunities for the College's medical and psychology students and residents. Each year, the centers serve more than 30,000 patients and offer community outreach programs through free health screenings and educational sessions.

PCOM Healthcare Center - City Avenue Division is comprised of six practices, all located in Rowland Hall on the College's campus: family medicine, geriatrics, gynecology, internal medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine and psychology. The center's physicians can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Notable Facts

At PCOM's Healthcare Centers, students deliver hands-on primary care under the direct supervision of attending physicians and become intimately involved in the care of patients. This training experience enables students to learn the sociology and economics of the modern health care system.
