Admission to PCOM is competitive and selective. The College seeks well-rounded, achievement-oriented persons whose character, maturity and sense of dedication point to a productive life as an osteopathic physician, healthcare professional or behavioral scientist. PCOM seeks diversity in its student population and actively recruits under-represented minority students and non-traditional students who often offer exceptional potential for becoming outstanding physicians/healthcare professionals.
"Students feel positive about PCOM, in part, because we have a great admissions process," notes Carol A. Fox, associate vice president for admissions and enrollment management. "We go out of our way for most any student who would like to come here. At PCOM, we really care about people and we encourage personal contact at every opportunity."
