Rehearsal, Class Photograph and Barbeque
Rehearsal will be held on the week before the ceremony on campus. It will last approximately
All details of the commencement ceremony will be covered, including times, marshalling
order, roll call, etc. It is important that all graduates attend.
After rehearsal, the class photograph will be taken in the Donor Garden with your
caps and gowns. This will be followed by a barbeque.
Commencement Dinner Dance will be held the week prior to Commencement at The City
Dress is black tie optional. Cocktails begin at 6:00 PM and dinner begins at 7:00
PM. Seating is by tables of 10. Dinner is followed by a program that includes award
presentations and dancing.
A formal invitation for you and a guest will be sent from the Provost in early April.

In keeping with our tradition, the Dean of the College hoods graduates. As an exception,
we extend graduates the priveledge of having a close family member assist in the hooding
ceremony. The family member must be either an osteopathic or allopathic physician
The Hooding Information Form must be completed if you have a family member who meets
the PCOM criteria as stated in the policy. Please refer to the Commencement Hooding
Policy. Both can be found on the Commencement section of Nucleus.
The formal commissioning of graduates in the military will take place on stage as
part of the Commencement ceremony. Please refer to the Commissioning Policy on Nucleus.
A separate communication with specific details will be sent by e-mail to each Army,
Navy and Air Force graduate.
