CRISP (Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects) is a searchable database of federally funded biomedical research projects conducted at universities, hospitals, and other research institutions. It is maintained by the NIH Office of Extramural Research.
Dietary Supplements Labels
From the NLM, DSL offers information about ingredients in more than two thousand selected brands of dietary supplements. It enables users to determine what ingredients are in specific brands and to compare ingredients in different brands. Information is also provided on the health benefits claimed by manufacturers.

"Directory of health information online" from the National Library of Medicine lists health and biomedical information resources including organizations, government agencies, information centers, professional societies, voluntary associations, support groups, academic and research institutions, and research facilities and resources.

Proquest Dissertations & Theses (formerly Dissertation Abstracts) covers 1861 to the present and includes abstracts for doctoral dissertations beginning in Summer 1980 and for masters theses beginning in Spring 1988.

Entrez Entrez is a search and retrieval system that integrates information from databases at the National Center for Biotechnology Information. These databases include nucleotide sequences, protein sequences, macromolecular structures, whole genomes, and MEDLINE.
ERIC   From the U. S. Dept. of Education, the Clearinghouse concentrates on education beyond the secondary level leading to a four-year, master's or professional degree. The ERIC database contains more than 950,000 abstracts of documents and articles in the field of education.

GenomeSeek provides access to current and completed microbial genome projects. The database contains over 100 entries.
Hazardous Substances Data Bank
HSDB is a toxicology data file on the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Toxicology Data Network (TOXNET?). It focuses on the toxicology of potentially hazardous chemicals and contains information on human exposure, industrial hygiene, emergency handling procedures, environmental fate, regulatory requirements, and related areas.
Health and Psychosocial Instruments HAPI Produced by Behavioral Measurement Database Services, HAPI is a database of evaluation and measurement tools designed to facilitate health and psychosocial studies. Measurement instruments include questionnaires, checklists, index measures, rating scales, project techniques, and other means of evaluation.

Health Services and Sciences Research Resources (HSRR)
HSRR is a searchable database of information about research datasets and instruments/indices as well as software applications used in health services research and in the behavioral and social sciences. It includes brief descriptions of research resources and links to PubMed and URLS of providers for additional information or access to the resources.
HealthSource Nursing/Academic The Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. Coverage of nursing and allied health is particularly strong.
HealthSTAR  HealthSTAR contains citations to literature on health services, technology, administration, and research. Topics include: patient outcomes; effectiveness of procedures; administration and planning of health facilities, services and manpower; health insurance; health policy; health services research; health economics and financial management.

Mental Measurements Contains fulltext information about and reviews of all English-language standardized tests covering educational skills, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas as included in the printed Mental Measurements Yearbooks. CAVEAT:  Online test entries which contain a "Notes" field listing additional references to other Buros Institute Publications are not available in the online version.  Please contact the Library to obtain a copy from the Library'sprint version of these references.
Micromedex full-text drug databases on chemical, pharmaceutical, and related biological substances used in clinical patient care, teratogenicity, toxicology, alternative medicine, pharmaceutical and patient information. Summary information can be downloaded to a PDA. Authorized users must review the Micromedex User Agreement and request required User Name and Password. 
National Guideline Clearinghouse
NCG is intended to make evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related abstract, summary, and comparison materials widely available. It is operated by the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) in partnership with the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American Association of Health Plans (AAHP). A unique feature is the ability to generate side-by-side comparisons for any combination of two or more guidelines.
