Welcome to Georgia Campus-Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. You might be surprised to
know about the breadth and scope of the degree programs offered at Georgia PCOM. When the ribbon was
cut in November 2005 for this branch campus, osteopathic medicine was the only program offered here.
That program was – and still is – based on the PCOM curriculum which has evolved over the years since the College’s founding in 1898.
Since 2005, GA-PCOM has added other programs: in 2006 came a master’s degree in biomedical
sciences, which many students find helpful in sharpening their skills in preparation for professional school admission or careers in the biosciences. In 2010, the PCOM School of Pharmacy enrolled its inaugural class of 79 candidates for the PharmD degree. And, in 2011, 15 students enrolled in the first Organizational
Development and Leadership (ODL) class at GA-PCOM.
This ODL program marks a departure for GA-PCOM from the traditional healthcare related professional
and graduate programs offered in Georgia. This master degree program helps students develop skills
which are vital in guiding organizations.
Enrollment has expanded from 86 students in 2005 to more than 650 students in all programs in 2011. The goal of PCOM’s Georgia Campus has remained the same from day one – to offer challenging programs of instruction which will provide our graduates with the ability to function at a high level in their chosen profession to better serve the needs of Georgia and the region.
