ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), in the greater Atlanta area, is seeking qualified individuals for a full-time Security/Public Safety Lieutenant. This individual will manage the operational functions of the Georgia Campus Department of Security and Public Safety. Responsibilities include but not limited to: overseeing scheduling and deployment of personnel to ensure adequate coverage, train and evaluate sergeants and contract officers, perform inspections to determine adequacy of security, safety, and fire protection in the College, Parking Lots and on the grounds. Must be able to influence, direct, and guide others. Develop ongoing training for new and existing staff and assures that subordinates conform to all college rules and regulations in addition to department policy and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

High school diploma required, college degree preferred. A minimum of ten years law enforcement experience, college/university, corporation or combination experience. Minimum of 7 years prior verifiable management and leadership experience, demonstrates competence in management and leadership skills. Demonstrates effective communication skills, Word, Excel, Office software and analytical skills. Must have prior Basic Mandate GA-Post police training or equivalent; maintain security certification and valid driver’s license. This position also requires this person to work various shifts including weekends and overtime.
