ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PCOM School of Pharmacy is currently seeking a qualified individual for one full-time, open rank, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The job location is in Suwanee, GA (just outside of the greater Atlanta area). This individual is expected to assist in the development of the PharmD program, to teach pharmacokinetics and other areas of pharmaceutical sciences in a team-taught curriculum, to develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program and participate in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment with other faculty in the school. In addition, this individual will be expected to contribute to the service needs of the school, serve on various committees and participate in the accreditation process.
The successful applicant requires a Ph.D. degree in pharmacy/ pharmaceutics /biomedical sciences with an emphasis on pharmacokinetics. Desirable qualifications include: Postdoctoral experience in pharmaceutics/biopharmaceutics/pharmacokinetics; Prior academic teaching experience, particularly in the areas of pharmacokinetics; Successful record of scholarship and attainment of research grants.
