Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Science
Dr. Desuo Wang received a BS degree in Medicine from Shanxi Medical College (Taiyuan,
China) and earned his PhD in Pharmacology from the Department of Pharmacology and
Therapeutics at the University Of Florida School of Medicine. He completed his postdoctoral
training with an American Heart Association scholarship at the University of Florida
and at the National Institute of Health with an IRTA fellowship.
Dr. Wang held a faculty appointment at the University of South Carolina College of
Pharmacy. During his career, he has taught a variety of graduate level courses including
Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Drug Research & Discovery. He has received research
grants from the NIH, pharmaceutical companies and University Initiatives. He authored
and coauthored a number of journal articles.
In addition, Dr. Wang is interested in practicing Taiji and has coached this exercise
skill to local community members to promote a healthy personal life style.
