Mandana Ghodrat, PharmD

  

Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Dr. Ghodrat earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from Mercer College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. She completed a year of general clinical residency with an emphasis on neonatal and pediatrics at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Eglestone Hospital in Atlanta. She has over 18 years of clinical practice experience and research.

Dr. Ghodrat has established several clinical pharmacy programs and services within different healthcare organizations in Atlanta, including a neonatal and pediatric clinical pharmacy service at the Grady Memorial Hospital. Later, she joined Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM) in Atlanta and started a cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery clinical pharmacy program.

Most recently, she served as the cardiology clinical pharmacist at the WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, where she established and coordinated the inpatient anticoagulation service.

Dr. Ghodrat serves as a faculty member on the pharmacy practice team at PCOM. She is passionate about teaching and through her clinical practice has provided education and training for students, residents and fellows of pharmacy, medical and nursing schools in Georgia.
