Veterans Education Benefits

The Registrar's Office in Philadelphia, Suwanee and Moultrie certify the enrollment of all eligible veterans, dependents and members of the Reserves and National Guard for their respective campuses.

The Department of Veterans Affairs determines the eligibility of each veteran. Benefits are dependent on the student's enrollment status at PCOM.

Follow these instructions to use your VA benefits at PCOM:

1. If you are a new student and would like to apply for veteran’s education benefits, please apply for or update your education benefits through the Department of Veteran Affairs.

2. You will receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the Department of Veteran Affairs once you have applied for your education benefits. To submit all information PCOM will need, please navigate to the Veterans' Benefits Form. To speak to someone about VA Benefits from PCOM, see below:

3. Students are required to have a COE on file with the exception of Chapter 31 (Voc Rehab.). If a COE is not received by the middle of your first semester, we will not certify VA benefits for future terms until a COE is received.

4. Initial certification claims are normally paid within 8-10 weeks of submission. Subsequent claims are paid on a monthly basis consistent with enrollment.

5. Once your COE is submitted in your first term, PCOM will check your status and recertify for subsequent terms. While not required, students are encouraged to contact us once per term to check in and confirm they wish to receive VA benefits for the current or upcoming term. If a student decides they do not wish to receive VA benefits for a certain term, it is required that they contact the VA Certifying Official to make this intention
