Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Program
PCOM South Georgia

As a Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) Medicine student at PCOM South Georgia, you'll learn to treat the person, not just the disease.

PCOM South Georgia is proud to celebrate a 100% postgraduate placement rate for the Class of 2024.

Our curriculum emphasizes how injury or illness in one part of the body can impact another. This extra training in the interaction and integration of the neuromusculoskeletal system with other body systems—osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM)—provides our students with additional tools and skills to diagnose and treat patients.

Our Moultrie, GA location is the sole medical school in South Georgia. Our modern facilities include open classrooms, contemporary laboratories and a state-of-the-art simulation center.

“I really like how I have the ability to go speak to my professors. They know me by name. If I have a question, I don't have to be on a waitlist to go to their office hours.”

The osteopathic medical program curriculum combines lectures and interactive, hands-on learning exercises to teach students osteopathic medicine as well as basic and clinical sciences. Through the use of medical simulators and live patient actors, we provide students with crucial experiences in clinical procedure and practice.

As a student in PCOM South Georgia's DO program, you'll learn anatomy, physiology, microbiology, immunology, clinical medicine and more in an comprehensive fashion during your first and second years. As a third- and fourth-year student, you’ll learn and work at hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Southeast region in order to develop your clinical skills in all stages of patient care.

You will be exposed to a broad scope of medical problems, gradually assuming more responsibility under the direction of experienced physicians.
