Exit Counseling Information
Office of Financial Aid

Congratulations on nearing the end of your program! We provide multiple counseling resources for helping you understand and manage your student loan repayment and debt management after graduation.

Most students will utilize the online exit counseling as well as attend at least one group or one-on-one exit counseling session. Our office will also email students of the graduating classes with reminders and updates regarding debt management sessions and student loan repayment information.

Student Loan Exit Counseling Opportunities

Graduating PCOM students are required to complete online student loan exit counseling! Our office will email graduating students with reminders.

  • If you borrowed federal student loans (Stafford or Graduate PLUS), PCOM policy requires you to complete the Department of Education's online student loan exit counseling session. Login to studentaid.gov with your FSA ID and password.
  • If you borrowed a federal Perkins loan, PCOM Alumni Association loan, Primary Care Loan or Loan for Disadvantaged Students, PCOM’s third party loan servicer ECSI will contact you to complete their separate online exit counseling session at borrower.ecsi.net.
Safe Colleges Loan Repayment Strategies Module

PCOM Financial Aid staff members created the Loan Repayment Strategies course to educate loan borrowers on the loan repayment process. The one-hour guided presentation covers topics such as how to calculate simple daily interest, loan repayment options, federal income-driven repayment plans, loan forgiveness options, consolidation vs. refinancing, and more. This module was designed to be the first step for borrowers preparing to enter repayment and addresses frequently asked questions surrounding loan exit counseling.
